Faith. Discipline. Teamwork. Leadership.
Southern Prospects Baseball is a Florida-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to developing young athletes through baseball while instilling discipline, leadership, accountability, teamwork, and character. We remove financial barriers so every child has access to a positive, structured environment where they can grow as athletes and leaders.
Southern Prospects serves youth throughout Pace and surrounding Northwest Florida communities. Our volunteer coaching staff includes military veterans, law enforcement professionals, and experienced baseball coaches committed to mentorship and player development.
Athletes receive more than six hours of organized instruction each week, including hitting, pitching, catching, defensive fundamentals, baserunning, baseball IQ, strength and athletic development, leadership lessons, and competitive practice.
Every athlete is evaluated individually and receives coaching tailored to his current stage of development. This allows players of every skill level to make measurable progress while building confidence and enjoying the game.
Southern Prospects Baseball currently serves 15 youth athletes, ages 9–10 — 12 athletes on the primary competitive roster and 3 in the developmental program. We maintain an open-door philosophy and invite any child with the desire to learn, work hard, and develop as an athlete and person to participate in instructional opportunities as space and resources allow.
As our organization continues to grow, we are expanding our vision to include after-school academic tutoring, transportation assistance for families facing financial hardship, and additional mentorship opportunities — addressing barriers that extend beyond athletics to further strengthen the youth and families we serve.
